Here at Pure Body Health, we are committed to minimizing waiting times and maximizing the convenience of appointments times. In order to provide quality and timely services to all clients, our clinic strictly enforces our policies for any no-show, late cancellation and late arrival clients.
If you need to cancel, reschedule or shorten your appointment with us, please notify us as soon as possible with a minimum of 24-hours’ notice. When you book an appointment with us, that time has been reserved for you. We need adequate notice of cancellation for all our services to allow us enough time to offer your appointment time to others. Unless we are able to fill your spot with another appointment of the same value, if you do not cancel and/or reschedule before the 24-hour period, you will still be charged the full fee for your appointment. If a shorter appointment is booked your late-cancelled slot, you will only be charged the difference.
In order to fully benefit from your treatment, please arrive at least a few minutes prior to your appointment time. All appointments will end at the scheduled time. In the case that you are late, you will only be treated for the remaining amount of your appointment time, allowing us to keep on schedule for our next clients.

Registered Massage Therapy and Acupuncture are recognized health care professions in British Columbia. The majority of extended health care plans partially or fully cover fees for these treatments. Policies typically have a percentage of coverage and/or up to a dollar amount annually. Each individual plan may have different coverage for each treatment type, check with your insurance company.
We offer direct billing to Blue Cross and most Extended Health Plans free of charge. Depending on individual coverage, full payment or partial payment may be required at the time of treatment.
Please inform the receptionist if you would like the clinic to direct bill your insurance. There is a consent form that includes the information we need in order for us to provide this service.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee direct billing at every appointment. This could be due to issues with individual insurance plans or problems with the submission portal.
We can electronically submit for Desjardins on behalf of our clients, but they still need to pay upfront and then payment is returned to them by Desjardins.
RCMP, VAC, and CAF members are covered for Massage Therapy and/or Acupuncture treatments with a doctor’s referral. We require a copy of the referral for your file prior to treatment, then we can bill directly to Medavie Blue Cross. Please let us know prior to booking that you will be wanting us to submit a claim on your behalf. In some cases, additional authorization before treatment may need to be given, which can take up to a week or longer.
Direct billing to ICBC is offered only when receiving treatments with Chelsey Forbes, RMT. ICBC covers a maximum of $23 + tax per treatment. The client is then responsible to pay the remaining difference at time of treatment and to submit the receipt to their adjustor/lawyer. Otherwise, we do not direct bill ICBC. Patients with an active ICBC claim are required to pay at time of treatment and they can submit receipts to their ICBC adjustor/lawyer. Check with your ICBC adjustor/lawyer regarding your coverage before booking your appointment.
Unfortunately, we do not accept injured workers claims.
If this is your first visit, and you have not filled out the online intake from, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, and check it with the receptionist in order to get the have time to fill out appropriate forms and have time to fill them out.
If you have filled out the online intake, please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment and check in with the receptionist when you arrive.
Please help us maintain a tranquil environment at Pure Body Health by turning off your ringer and refraining from talking on your cell phone while in the clinic.
Please do not wear strong synthetic fragrances on the day of your appointment with us. We are a chemical scent-free clinic. We only use naturally scented eco-friendly soaps and cleaners. We do use pure essential oils, but these natural scents generally do not have the same negative effect on people who are sensitive to synthetic scents.
